Colorado Pledge Challenge
Your Colorado Pledge Scholarship Gift Will be Matched

Colorado College is calling on all donors to participate in the Colorado Pledge Challenge to open doors for our students and empower them with the best education CC has to offer.

Inspired by Board of Trustees Chair Susie Burghart '77, who generously launched Susie B's Challenge to match gifts to the Colorado Pledge, our goals are to raise $50,000 with participation from at least 1,000 donors. Your gift also counts for Building on Originality: The Campaign for Colorado College.

How you can participate in the Colorado Pledge Challenge:

  • Make a gift to the Colorado Pledge Scholarship. Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar through Susie B’s Challenge. For example, your $25 gift to support the pledge makes a $50 impact immediately.

  • Give to Colorado College’s Annual Fund or the Parents Fund*. Help us reach our participation goal and support CC students now.

*For the purposes of this challenge, only gifts to the Colorado Pledge Scholarship will be matched. All gifts count toward our dollar and participation goals.

What the CC Community is Saying About the Colorado Pledge:
Nov 06, 2019

As we approach the halfway point in the Colorado Pledge Challenge, here is what our community is saying about the Colorado Pledge:

“Students who grow up in the Springs don’t think they can get into Colorado College. The Colorado Pledge is going to open CC a lot more to them as a possibility,” says Chloe Brooks-Kistler ’23. “Colorado College is an amazing school and to have this place that provides so many opportunities right in your backyard makes it attractive for Colorado students.”

“Colorado College is one of only a handful of colleges in the nation to consistently meet the full demonstrated need of every admitted student,” says Colorado College President Jill Tiefenthaler P’21, P’24, when the announcement was made. “The Colorado Pledge goes one step further and is a bold initiative aimed at making a private education as affordable, or more affordable, than many public universities.”

What is Colorado Pledge?
Oct 29, 2019

The college announced the Colorado Pledge at the beginning of the academic year as a pilot program to make CC more affordable for low- and middle-income families from Colorado. Board of Trustees Chair Susie Burghart ’77 has generously launched Susie B’s Challenge to raise funds to support the Colorado Pledge. Although gifts of $50,000 or more are typically required to qualify for matching funds, were opening this giving opportunity up to gifts of any amount during the Colorado Pledge Challenge.
